Emily Roberts was done with men! She believed she was content with just focusing on her career. After Adam, her ex, cheated on her with not one but two of her co-workers, Emily fled from her former workplace, forgoing her internship and decided to start anew.

Though her decision to write off love had held up for over a year, her chastity belt would soon be put to the test when Julien Belmont, a French billionaire, takes an interest in her.

In one night, she questions everything she believes and though she is determined that he is no different from the rest, she finds herself in a world wind of affairs, lies and a tug of war between old and new men...

Can she learn to love again or will she flee from Julien, who she admits is the best lover she has ever had?

Julien Belmont is a gorgeous, commanding, and passionate Frenchman who enjoys his freedom. His ever growing sexual hunger makes it so his appetite is never quite quenched. At last not until he meets Emily. One night with her changes everything he has ever believed in.

Will his past destroy his potential future with Emily? Or will the fire between them burn eternal!

Heroes are heroes and Villains are villains, if that is what you like then this is not the book for you. Every character and their perspective has been laid out in a non-judging almost aloof manner which gives the reader a chance to get to know the characters on their own.

Cliffhanger! If a book in a series can't offer a good cliffhanger than it's not worth being a part of the series. No problems of that in this story. It's almost physically painful to wait for the second part.

Novel? Not so much. It's more of a Novella. So all the new readers out there who get scared just looking at the size of the book, this is definitely for you. Easy read, fast read and well, small read.

In short, Go for it!

1)     Do you believe that writing is about "Inspiration and not perspiration"?
a.     I believe writing has to include both. When I first started Discovered I was inspired beyond belief with so many creative juices flowing but midway through I hit a block and the deadline was starring me in the face. That moment of pure perspiration pushed me to write what I feel is a great story. Both parts made the book what it is today.
2)     Which force drives you, motivates you to push yourself harder and farther?
a.     My readers are what motivate me. I want to always give them my very best, anything less than that is not acceptable.
3)     Is writing your goal, passion or just a hobby?
a.     It’s my passion. I want to write because my spirit enjoys it and not for any other reason. Anything else would reflect in the work.
4)     What are your best and worst experiences in Publication Industry?
a.     My best experience thus far in the publication industry would have to be when I published Discovered a little early to avoid readers having to wait for it to go live. The next day I had so many orders in already. It was a joy to see! My worst experience thus far would have to be my first negative review. It’s tough on new authors when someone doesn’t enjoy the hard work you have put into your baby. But although it’s tough I have come to realize that those reviews are only going to push me to be better so it’s actually a positive.
5)     Who is your ultimate guide?
a.     My goal now is the same as it was before I published Discovered, to provide readers with a story they can get lost in.
6)     Do you believe that every writer needs a "Day Job”?
a.     I really can’t speak for every writer but I will speak for myself. Being a writer is amazing but it’s also very expensive especially since I am always involved in giveaways. A “Day Job” for me is essential, at least for now lol.

I exited the car and walked over to him, grabbing him by his silk blue tie and led him to my door. As we entered, Julien, a little predictably, was all over me, tugging and pulling, kneading my skin with his strong hands. We were still tangled together, his lips devouring mine, as he kicked the door shut. Oh how I missed you!

Reluctantly, I pulled away, prying his greedy hands away, and pulling on his tie as I led him into my bedroom. I could feel his intense eyes probing me from behind. Yes, Julien… this was now my show, I’m in charge, I told myself. That first night he was the one who conquered my body but tonight I would seek my revenge on him, exploring him completely.

I brought him to the side of the bed, pulling on him so that his face was inches from mine. I brushed my lips lightly against his as I said, “Don’t move.”

I slid my body onto the queen sized bed, facing him. I loved the animalistic and passionate desire in his eyes as he watched me.

“Slowly take off your clothes Julien,” I commanded.

He groaned softly as he did as he was told. He unzipped and dropped his pants, letting them fall to his feet. His erection sprung out from the confines of his boxers, engorged and ready for attention; and oh what a delightful sight it was! Built perfectly it was long and thick, jerking eagerly as I looked him over. Each time it twitched, my mouth watered at the thought of taking him into my hungry mouth. He removed his pinstriped navy jacket and tossed it aside before finally taking off his shirt and tie, standing completely nude before me. The sight of him melted my insides and a flow of liquid oozed freely between my legs.

“Do you want me Julien?” I asked as I moved closer to the edge of the bed. I watched as his breathing increased, his eyes barely open, but still intense with greedy, lusty desire. The unhinged animalistic man, that had taken me so roughly before, was near the surface and burning to take control but I was not ready to let him take over just yet. Slowly I undressed, leisurely unbuttoning my shirt and slipping my skirt off. I made sure to linger longer than usual, watching as his breath caught in his throat each time an article of my clothing was removed.

“Emily…” he groaned as my bra came off, almost sounding like he was in pain. I left my thong panties on just to extend his torment. He had to wait just a little longer for that. This was definitely my show now and I wanted to take full advantage.

“You didn’t answer my question Julien,” I teased as I nested my legs in between his, inching closer and closer to his engorged thick erection and taking him into my hand. My eyes never left his.

He hissed in agony. “Yes I want you Mon chaton, my kitten. Why must you torture me so?” he said as his eyes closed tightly, tilting his head back. I knew that men like Julien weren’t used to relinquishing power to their women. He was the dominator, but not tonight. Tonight, he would submit first and maybe, just maybe, I would restore the balance of power.

My hands were still on him as I stroked his manhood softly; inching closer, my mouth hovered over him, allowing my hot breath to caress his mushroomed head, causing him to let out a deep, guttural groan.

“How much Julien? How much do you want me baby?” I asked while looking up at him through my lashes. Before he could open his mouth to answer, my lips took him whole. My tongue massaging him with purpose as his body went rigid in agony and pleasure. Oh how I missed him, I thought again.

Slowly I worked him, sucking, and licking; taking him deeper and deeper as his hands found their way to my hair, and guided me down his thick, lovely shaft. His sharp indrawn breath pleased me as I took him in all the way. I knew he was close because a small squirt of liquid caressed my tongue, letting me know I had to stop. I pulled away, letting out a popping sound from the release of suction.

“Don’t,” he cried out, wanting for more.

“Ah, patience Mon amour,” I giggled as I recalled him saying those same words to me when I whimpered for more from him. I felt powerful, sexy and I loved it!

Realizing my chosen phrase, his lips curled up, “Mean, mean woman you are Emily…” he teased.

Slowly I turned over onto all fours. I liked the obedient Julien but it was time to summon the primal animal within him and I knew just what would do the trick. I perked my ass up in the air, giving him a lovely view, my mound wet and dripping with excitement. Come for me Julien, let that animal out.

He groaned and slowly walked up to me, attempting to grab me, but I moved away, “Tsk, tsk, tsk… Didn’t I tell you not to move,” I said, my face turned to him with my ass still in the air. “You don’t want to get punished, do you?” I scowled playfully.

To my surprise, he stepped back, although I could see I was testing his patience. It wouldn’t be long before that primal animal inside of him came rushing to the surface, commanding its power back and taking me just the way it had before. I had just a few more minutes so I had to make it count. Determined, I brought my hand to my mound, caressing my nub as he watched, with his chest flaring up and down, and his eyes seemingly mesmerized.

“Tell me Julien, do you like what I’m doing?” I asked, half teasing but fully aroused.

He grunted, “Ah huh…” his eyes were fixated on my swollen mound as I teased my aching nub.

It was now or never. I slid my finger through my silken folds, feeling my body clench around it, moaning in enjoyment and felt him itching to move closer but halting. I pulled my finger out of me and brought it to my mouth, licking it painfully slow, and tasting my sweet essence. Bingo!

The Devil wears Prada and Everyone worth Knowing by Lauren Weisberger

The Devil Wears Prada explores the Fashion World from the perspective of the PA of the Editor of Fashion Magazine, Andrea Sachs and Everyone worth Knowing is all about Parties and Celebs where Bette Robinson is an event manager. Both the novels showcases naive and unfashionable ladies who are dropped in the midst of glamour and stardom. They are blinded by the "Lights and Glitter" but they truly never embrace the fabulous but empty life.

The narrator of both the novels is torn between the Fantasy of her job and the Reality of her previous life and this division is personified by two Hot guys in their life.

The Devil Wears Prada:

Andrea Sachs

Christian Collinsworth                                     Alex
Hot and Famous writer              an inner-city school teacher

Everyone Worth Knowing:

Bette Robinson
Philip Weston                                                           Sammy
Wealthy, Attractive British Playboy
Lawyer                                              a bouncer and an aspiring chef

In the whole novel they keep on bouncing from one guy to another and in the end they are left with none!

Personally, I really can't relate with either Andrea or Bette when it comes to guys. Why the hell Andrea leaves Christian? and Why the hell Bette is so obsessed with Sammy? I guess we will never know.

But aside from stupid Guy choices, the novels are fun, sexy and sassy. Just don't think and don't try to rationalize and you will be fine. It's kinda like reading a bunch of gossip columns.

Four years later, a funeral signals a homecoming fraught with tension as he finally forces himself to face up to the consequences of his actions. Betrayed and angry, his former best friend Callum wants nothing more than to see him disappear once again - for good this time. Meanwhile his ex-girlfriend Ally has moved on and he can see that his return is anything but easy for her. People change, life goes on and things are never as simple as they seem. The past has a habit of catching up with you when you least expect it.
Living with regret and guilt almost tore him apart, but there is no guarantee that trying to make amends will soothe his soul or help the people he loves the most.
Courage has many faces. Fighting for what you believe in, no matter what. Showing strength of mind and body when the cards are stacked against you. Rising to the challenge and playing through the pain.
And yet sometimes, courage means simply standing your ground.

“You want to know if I told her about what happened that night.”
Callum glared at him, and Jack could tell he was on the right track.
“The answer is no, I didn’t. But why the hell didn’t you? You were there, you knew.”
“Because it wasn’t my place to tell her – it was yours.” Callum snapped.
“Jesus, Callum! You just let her think God knows what, all this time?”
“What the hell do you care what she thought! You weren’t here, remember? I didn’t tell her because what the hell would be the point?”
“What would be the point?” Jack repeated indignantly. “She would have known!”
“Known what? That you were a coward? She figured that one out for herself when she woke up and you were gone!”
Jack opened his mouth to speak, but Callum cut him off.
“Don’t you dare come back here and start blaming me or anyone else! No one told you to go – you made that choice yourself.” Callum hissed, eyes blazing. “You did the wrong thing then and by coming back now and stirring it all up again, all you’re doing is making it worse. You’re here for your own selfish reasons, not because of Tom or because of her!”
“I’m trying to make it right!” Jack insisted, heart racing.
“And how in the hell do you think you’re gonna do that?”
Jack stared at him dumbfounded, knowing that he had asked himself that question a million times and come up empty.
“She doesn’t need you anymore. The best thing you can do now is just crawl back into whatever hole you crawled out of and leave her be.”
Jack shook his head determinedly, his heart pounding. “No. I’m not going anywhere, not this time.”
Callum laughed scornfully. “That’s your master plan? Seriously?”
Jack glared at him in silence, his anger mounting.
“Oh come on – you gotta admit, that’s a reckless statement, especially for you.” Callum snorted derisively. “You disappear when the going gets tough, remember?”
Jack clenched his teeth so tight his jaw ached. “That’s not what happened and you know it.”
“Do I? Because that’s what it looked like from where I was standing!”
“You know damn well why I left!” Jack blurted out, his voice thunderous and desperate. “You knew what I did – you were there!”
“Yeah, I knew what you did - big deal! You were trying to save her life - she wouldn’t have blamed you!” he said hotly. “You did the wrong thing, Jack – you should’ve stayed.”
Jack stared at him, his heart racing. He thought about the relationship they used to have – how close they were. Like brothers. And now this; strangers - worse than that; enemies.
“I made a mistake.” he choked. “I won’t make that mistake again.”
Callum shook his head. He stood up straight and took a step backwards, eyeballing Jack as he forced his hands back into his pockets.
“Here’s the thing – you made your choice. Now you have to live with it, just like the rest of us. You can’t change what happened and if you stick around, you’re only gonna hurt her. Is that what you want?”
Jack opened his mouth to reply but Callum didn’t give him a chance.
“She was just starting to get her life back together, after everything she’s been through. Don’t rip it all apart again.” he pleaded quietly, clearly emotional. “Do the right thing this time - leave.”

Rating: 4/5

I think the title says it all, it's all about absolution. In a world where people have forgotten how to forgive, this is one of the most heart-wrenching and crazy-sweet story. The book with this plot could have very easily become a slow and stagnant read but the author keeps pace on a Go, Go, Go mode (in a good way). There are so many times when I wanted to shake some sense in the characters. Don't leave, stop doubting him, just say it, etc, etc.

Jack and Callum are great guys. While my heart breaks for Jack, I want to give Callum a big warm hug. He needs and deserves it. As for Ally, she is so freaking strong. Gotta love her.

Good plot, great writing and amazing characters. Needless to say but this one is a MUST READ!

Author Interview

1) Do you believe that writing is about "Inspiration and not perspiration"?
I believe it’s a bit of both.  You need to be inspired to write, but writing is hard work, too.

2) Which force drives you, motivates you to push yourself harder and farther?
I like to see a story finished, and the best I can possibly make it.  I’m very fussy – especially when I know others will be reading it!  My driving force is my desire for perfection (as impossible as that is, but MY perfection).

3) Is writing your goal, passion or just a hobby?
Again, it’s both.  I would love to be able to give up my day job and write full-time, but I also don’t want to have to rely on paying my mortgage with my writing.  Then, I’m afraid it will become so much harder.

4) What are your best and worst experiences in Publication Industry?
Best experience: an agent contacting me on behalf of my publisher, saying they might be interested in publishing my manuscript.  Worst experience: when I get a review that shows me how completely over the reviewers head my story was – that they missed the important things (well, the things I think are important in the story, anyway!).  That makes me a little sad.  But I brush those off and move on – you can’t please everyone.

5) Who is your ultimate guide?
Myself.  I trust my instincts above all.  If my gut says something is wrong (or right), I believe it.

6) Do you believe that every writer needs a "Day Job”?
Hmmm.  That’s a hard question.  From my own experience, having a day job provides the sanity I need at the moment.  As tough as it is to tear myself away from a story to go to work, I realise that I need that balance in my life.  Also, having a day job provides so much more inspiration for me.  I write about relationships – if I stayed in all day to write, I’m sure I’d run out of ideas eventually!

Character Interview with Ally

Why did you forgive Jack so easily?
I can understand why it might have looked that way, to outsiders - I really can.  I guess what nobody else knew - and what I didn't want to acknowledge myself - was that I never stopped loving him.  It hurt when he left, I'm not denying that.  It nearly broke me.  I didn't think I'd ever understand why he did that, but the truth is - as much as I hated him for that - I couldn't just stop loving him.  When he came back for the funeral, all I really wanted was some answers.  Once I had them, I was willing to walk away.  But when we started talking, and I finally got a chance to tell him how much he hurt me, I could see that he had hurt himself just as much.  I didn't expect that.  When he said "I'm sorry", I saw what he really meant, too - "I love you."  When you have a history as strong as ours, you can't just switch it off.
Was it too much being treated as if you are fragile and will break any second if not bubble wrapped?
Constantly.  I hate it, but I also understand it, in a way.  They're scared, after what I did (or tried to do).  I get that.  I just wish they'd see that I'm not that person anymore - I'm stronger now.

Amanda Dick is a night-owl, coffee addict, movie buff and music lover.  She also writes.

Born in Opotiki, New Zealand, she is rather partial to dark chocolate and believes in the power of a good vanilla latte.  She has a passion for the colour green (particularly in clothes and gemstones) and insists there is nothing sexier than a man in a kilt.

She spent several months traveling around Europe in her late 20’s (there’s a story there – she’ll get around to writing it one day).  After ridding herself of her wanderlust, she met the love of her life (while working to pay off said wanderlust) in Edinburgh, Scotland.  They moved in together the week after their first date – so yes, she believes in love at first sight.  She also believes in Women's Intuition and following your heart.

She writes on her trusty laptop, predominantly late at night, when it's quiet and interruptions are few.  Most of all, she enjoys writing about human behaviour - love, loss, joy, grief, friendship and relationships in general.  She loves to put normal, everyday people into situations that will test their boundaries.  She is passionately curious about how we, as human beings, react when pushed to the edge.

After living in Scotland for five years, she has now settled back home in New Zealand, where she lives with her husband and two children.

Forever Doomed Book Blitz

It's not wise to wander the cruise ship Forever alone at night. You might not live to see daylight.
Detective Jack Harney agrees to do an old Army buddy a favor. Curt Noble had some personal business to attend to, he didn’t say what. What he did say was he needed someone to temporarily take over his duties as head of security on the struggling cruise ship Forever. Jack hesitates, but he owes Curt his life so agrees. He’s told the worst mischief he can expect to encounter will be the occasional shoplifter, or drunk. Instead, one week into the cruise, a beautiful red head and a member of the crew are ruthlessly murdered. Are the two murders connected? It’s up to Jack to find out. He must find the killer before the ship returns to Tampa’s port, or worse, before another dead body is found. This won't be easy. The ship is old, it's security systems outdated, and clues are few, or so it seems at first
 It’s not just a sense of obligation that motivates Jack to agree to Curt's request;
Jack moved thousands of miles, started over, and still can't get Amy O'Brian out of his heart or mind. When she shows up on the ship, as part of a large wedding party, Jack must fight to stay focused. To make matters worse, Amy isn't his only distraction; a sexy and mysterious woman has made it her mission to seduce Jack.
As the body count rises, and time slips away, Jack has to ask himself, “Did someone commit the perfect crime?”

Jack watched Marni leave, torn. Did he think she’d killed Pam? No, but she was keeping something from him, something to do with Pam’s murder. He looked down at his arm, seeing her small hand. His heart was still beating hard. It had taken real effort to hide his feelings when she’d touched him. After a few minutes, he started walking, and was soon standing outside Marni’s cabin door. He hesitated. He told himself he was just going there to talk to her, to try to make her tell him what he sensed she was holding back. But that was a lie. He reached up and knocked. She opened the door wearing a towel.
“I was about to take a shower,” she said.
Jack didn’t respond. He walked into her room, shoving the door shut behind him. He took hold of her towel and pulled her tightly against his body, his mouth covering hers, his tongue searching for hers, his hands yanking the towel off and tossing it to the floor. He easily picked up Marni and carried her to the bed. She pulled his shirt up over his head, her hands running themselves through his thick chest hair. She reached for his belt buckle, undoing it slowly, her eyes watching his. Then she pulled his pants down and gasped.
Oh my.
